INITIAL CONSULTATIONS

INITIAL CONSULTATIONS (15 MINUTES) ARE ALWAYS FREE. WE WANT YOU TO HAVE A NO-COST OPPORTUNITY TO MEET DR. BURDINE AND ASK A COUPLE QUESTIONS BEFORE DIVING INTO YOUR FIRST SESSION.

Accepted Forms of Payment

INSURANCE

Kimberly Burdine Pyschological Services & Consulting does not accept insurance of any kind as a form of payment. Fees for services are due at the time of service. If you are insured and would like to use a mental health care benefit for individual counseling, consult with your insurance provider about opportunities for reimbursement for out-of-network mental health services. Please note that we will not bill, contact, or manage your insurance provider. However, we will provide a "superbill" that includes information that is typically needed for insurance filing. You are otherwise responsible for working with your insurance provider for reimbursement.

If you are unsure of your coverage or have questions about how to get reimbursed, we encourage you to contact them and ask them the following:

  1. To explain your mental health coverage, including reimbursement for out-of-network care.

  2. Whether you have a deductible or whether they will reimburse you less a co-pay.

  3. Whether there are any restrictions based on diagnosis around reimbursements.

If you are underinsured or uninsured and our fees would impose financial hardship, please find us on Open Path Collective for limited sliding scale openings. The Loveland Foundation and National Queer & Trans Therapists of Color Network Therapy Fund are also funding sources that may be of assistance.***


Major Credit/Debit Cards/HSA

All major credit/debit cards are accepted, including those used with health savings accounts. All payments are to be made via the client portal, which is provided to you during the client onboarding process.
